Summer School is OVER!!

Hello everyone!  I am finally done summer school!!  It was a lot harder to get back into student mode than I had originally thought!  I didn't get to train much over the last 3 months and I only was able to film little bits here and there.  I have made two videos of some of my training and adventures with the guys.  Also, summer school ended a while ago but the day after I finished I got a job as the lead character's stunt double on a movie!  It's awesome but it has left me with very little free time which is why these videos are only coming out now.  Unfortunately this also means that I don't think very many videos will be coming out for the next few months :(   I have plans to improve the blog at night, but I am working all day so cool adventures wont be happening that often.  I do have travel plans for after the movie so I should be getting up to some entertaining stuff in November.  Hopefully you'll like what I have to share until then!
Enjoy!

Summer School Dayz
Here is a compilation of the random things I filmed during my training over the three months I was in summer school.  There is a parkour day in there as well as some gym and tricking session, stunt stuff Dylan and I were working on and some other random fun things :)

Summer School Parkour
The boys and I found a day to head downtown Toronto to get in some pk action in on one of my days off from summer school.  It was a good day but unfortunately a little short.  I cant wait to get back out there!!

Also here is the next episode of our Ultimate Fan Fights webseries!  Ryu vs. Scorpion!  I even do two of the stunts as Scorpion!  Hope you enjoy!

Batman vs. Captain America

Hello Everyone!

Again I apologize about the lack of posts.  Summer school is killing me!  I come home, watch parkour and rock climbing videos and get sad that I can't train every day :(  I do get to meet up with the guys on Fridays though and we filmed a fun video last week, but because of my homework I haven't been able to edit it.  When I am done school on August 13th I will probably celebrate by training like mad and going climbing outdoors and stuff.  THEN I will edit a bunch of videos of the footage I have been saving up over the past three months!!

BUT in the mean time, the project that I said the team was working on a LONG time ago has finally arrived!!  It is called Ultimate Fan Fights (UFF) and we are making a web series of epic battles between two fictional characters!  The first episode is out and its Batman vs. Captain America.  Eli played  the captain and Eric played Batman and I think they did a kick ass job!  Check it out!!

There are more to come soon so keep checking in to get updates!!  Now back to homework :P

Sorry :(

Hello Everyone!  Sorry I haven't been posting recently!  I started summer school 2 months ago and it has been eating up all of my time.  I thought I would still be able to keep filming and posting videos while going to school but that has not turned out to be the case.  It's a little more intense than I anticipated so I have hardly been able to train let alone edit videos.  I am itching to get out there to flip and jump off stuff and its killing me to watch amazing videos and then have to open my chemistry text book!  But I will be back soon.  I have around 1 month left, give or take a week depending on my exam schedule.  When that is over I WILL BE BACK AT FULL FORCE!!  Cant wait!!  :)

KILLING the Wallflips

Hello there!  Again decided to neglect my homework duties and made a video instead :)
Enjoy!

KILLING the Wallflips

I went to Waterloo, Ont to spend the May long weekend with my awesome girlfriend.  While she was studying away I couldn't resist the nice weather and had to do some parkour around the University of Waterloo campus.  I was thinking I would have a relaxed session but I must have been super powered by the sun because I ended up throwing down HARD!  I tried and landed 5 NEW WALLFLIPS for the FIRST TIME outside!  Everything other than the first 2-step wallflip I have never tried, or even really thought about trying outside before!  After that major boost I continued to explore the campus and found some pretty decent spots.  I really like the chest high concrete block I found where I did those 4 flowy-ish combos.  Towards the end of the day Cass joins me and does a few tricks of her own!  Amazing and unexpectedly successful day!!

Interesting Pic of the Day!

I know its a few weeks late but its still good.  Why is one considered appropriate and the other ridiculous?

Instead of Doing Homework I made Videos!

Hello Everyone!  So this is my first post in a few weeks because as the title implies I have started school.  I am taking a whole lot of summer school courses to finally finish my degree!  Yay!!  Unfortunately this means I wont be able to spend as much time making sweet videos.  Boo!  I finished an exam the other day so I thought that was a good excuse to catch up on my videos!  I had footage from three days so you get three videos today.  I'll try and keep them coming regularly but that kind of depends on my work load.
Enjoy!

Tricking in a Swarm of Bees

Jonny, Dylan, Eli and I were on our way to a rock climbing session but decided to do some outdoor tricking as a warm up.  We scoured the area around the climbing gym and found a lovely looking patch of grass, BUT attached to that was the beginning of a forest trail.  OBVIOUSLY we took trail!!  It lead us into a ravine and found a river at the bottom where the video starts.  After we explored down there we headed back up for our tricking session but we didn't realize that that patch of grass was home to a colony of bees.  The more we tricked the more they came out and by the end they were probably thousands!  But for whatever reasons these ones were chill.  They didn't want to sting us, just fly all around us.  They were grey-coloured and looked smaller than normal wasps but definitely were wasps.  If there are any bee experts out there who want to shed some light on this I am curious to find out what was up with those little guys!

Awesome Gym Pk Session

Another night at Scarborough Gym Elites means another night of new tricks!  I'm so productive when I am there!  I landed both a palm flip and a reverse fly-away barani for the first time!  Now I just have to do them outside!!

Parkour: Tony Hawk Stlye

Jonny, Eli and I headed to a skate park near Eli's new condo.  It was a really great session as the park wasn't busy and wasn't too big.  There weren't tons of ramps/jumps to use so we had jump get a little creative and combine our individual tricks into a bunch of group shots.  I am actually quite pleased with how these shots we threw together came out after just one or two tries! ...alright maybe three or four :P

Oh and Eric, Carl and I were in Gak Attack's latest video!  Check it out!!

Magical Parkour Adventure

Hello World!  Another Flipping Out SPECIAL here for you today!  Plus you get an extended version of the adventure we took.  What a treat!  :P
Enjoy!

Magical Parkour Adventure
Jonny, Dlyan, Eli and I headed to the Scarborough Bluffs for some outdoor parkour fun.  Little did we realize we would be undertaking an awesome adventure up, over and down the cliffs, through swarms of insects, clearing massive gaps and tight-rope walking across perilous bridges!!  There was even a fawn to guide us!  Kidding <3  Seriously we did get up to an awesome adventure, we had really great time doing it and had a lot of fun jumping around the rocks at the water's edge after.  We had  such a good day that I thought I should make a SPECIAL out of it.  I hope you can get a sense of the fun we had through this video :)

Plus check out the extended version if you want to feel what it's like going on a hike with us.  Listen to all our stupid jokes and witty(?) banter!  I personally love when Jonny overshoots his jump and hangs on by his toes!

Magical Parkour Adventure EXTENDED ADVENTURE EDIT... Now with more adventure
This is the extended version of Magical Parkour Adventure.  We had such a great time on the hike that I thought I should post a mostly unedited version so you can hear what we say to each other and really feel what it's like to go on a hike with us.  Check out the full version if you want to see more flips and blend modes :)

Sick New Moves

Hello Everyone!  Short video today from my training session last night :)
Enjoy!

Sick New Moves

Had a productive training session at Scarborough Gym Elites!  I finally landed my first reverse fly away!  After I worked on a big kong to grab on the uneven bars.  I did this well last week, but I wasn't quite as successful this time.  Maybe the bars were farther or higher?  Also I learned the push wall side flip or whatever you call it!  I have wanted this move for a long time but always forgot to train it.  I wish I had done it sooner because it is actually really easy, but still a sweet new move!!  Yay!  :P

Awesome U of T Parkour

Hello Everyone!  Sweet parkour day and I attempt to get a little fancy with the editing :)
Enjoy!

Awesome U of T Parkour

Jonny and I go out for some pk around the University of Toronto campus.  We had a great time exploring and discovering lots of really good training areas.  I love that if you find an area that doesn't seem great for parkour, but you stay there long enough you'll eventually find some awesome ways to train there.  As long as you get creative any space can be a great place to move and flip!  Because we had such a great day I wanted the video to be a little nicer so I spent some time learning about color correction and frame blending techniques.  This is my first attempt to give a video some style so it probably looks pretty amateur but it was fun trying to figure that stuff out.  Just another way to express myself!!  :)

Amazing Quote of the Day
I sometimes feel like an alien creature
for which there is no earthly explanation
Sure I have human form
walking erect and opposing digits,
but my mind is upside down.
I feel like a run-on sentence
in a punctuation crazy world.
And I see the world around me
like a mad collective dream.
An endless stream of people
move like ants from the freeway
cell phones, pc's, and digital displays
"In Money We Trust,"
we'll find happiness
the prevailing attitude;
like a genetically modified irradiated Big Mac
is somehow symbolic of food.
Morality is legislated
prisons over-populated
religion is incorporated
the profit-motive has permeated all activity
we pay our government to let us park on the street
And war is the biggest money-maker of all
we all know missile envy only comes from being small.
Politicians and prostitutes
are comfortable together
I wonder if they talk about the strange change in the weather.
This government was founded by, of, and for the people
but everybody feels it
like a giant open sore
they don't represent us anymore
And blaming the President for the country's woes
is like yelling at a puppet
for the way it sings
Who's the man behind the curtain pulling the strings?
A billion people sitting watching their TV
in the room that they call living
but as for me
I see living as loving
and since there is no loving room
I sit on the grass under a tree
dreaming of the way things used to be
Pre-Industrial Revolution
which of course is before the rivers and oceans,
and skies were polluted
before Parkinson's, and mad cows
and all the convoluted cacophony of bad ideas
like skyscrapers, and tree paper, and earth rapers
like Monsanto and Dupont had their way
as they continue to today.
This was Pre-us
back when the buffalo roamed
and the Indian's home
was the forest, and God was nature
and heaven was here and now
Can you imagine clean water, food, and air
living in community with animals and people who care?
Do you dare to feel responsible for every dollar you lay down
are you going to make the rich man richer
or are you going to stand your ground
You say you want a revolution
a communal evolution
to be a part of the solution
maybe I'll be seeing you around

Triple Discipline

Hello All!  Trained three disciplines today, and had a great time doing all of them!
Enjoy!

Triple Discipline

Martyr and Eric start off by both doing their best Mike Tyson impression.  Not quite sure who has the better one!  Then Eli led us through a new series of boxing drills where we weren't hitting pads but instead we had to parry/block/dodge the punches.  A fun challenge and again something Eli looks much more comfortable doing than me!  After we had a fairly low key tricking session.  I haven't been feeling too into tricking recently and I think my body is recognizing that because my muscles did not feel like going hard on the tricks today.  Later that day I went to Scarborough Gym Elites and trained some parkour moves.  I worked on what I think are called plyometric jumps (the one foot jumps from beam to beam).  I finished up working on my fly-aways and landed a double full fly-away for the first time!  Yay!!

Waterloo Parkour

Hello Everyone!  I had a fun parkour day on Friday and then a great weekend so I thought I would share an idea I had.
Enjoy!

Waterloo Parkour

Double parkour training day today!  Started off early in the morning with Dylan hitting up that big rock we found the other week.  It was fun as we were forced to get a little creative so we didn't just repeat the things we did last time.  We were joined by Eli very briefly in the park where I had my huge bail.  He quickly showed me up doing the kong that I fell on, as I knew he would.  Why does he have to be so good at things?!  Later after 4 hours of driving  in brutal traffic my legs HAD to jump so I went to a new location in Waterloo, Ont.  I had a great time there as initially I couldn't see much to do but after hanging around I found some fun obstacles.  Also there were some jumps that scared me when I first checked them out but after psyching myself up I was able to do them!  It's always great to conquer some fears in a parkour session!

Interesting Thought of the Day!
If we didn't have supermarkets, we wouldn't have people damaging the environment.

Awesome Group Session 2

Hello All!  Since I am only editing one video per training session I now have more time for each post.  This means I will start experimenting with editing techniques and posting other interesting things, not just videos of flips.
Enjoy!

Awesome Group Session 2

Jonny and Carl duke it out capoeira styles again.  I thought they were good last time, but this time they kill it even more!  I swear they must be practicing in secret or something because last time they weren't as good.  After Jonny does a cool combo, which I pick up on, then Dylan and soon the whole team is doing their own variation of Jonny's initial combo (back sweep - master scoot - flash).  Then we all do a bunch of random tricks and finally I work on cork to cork, one hand handstand and wall side flips.  Excellent day!!  Oh and I tried experimenting with the Crop Effect for this video.  It looks fairly lame but it is just the start of my experimenting with editing techniques!

Crazy Science Fact of the Day!
The asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 millions years ago also flung billions of tons of "life bearing" rocks to other potentially life-bearing planets in our solar system and beyond!  Whoa!!!

Month in Review: March

Hello Everyone!  March is over, and with its end comes my second month in review.  A brief summary: I love parkour!  Plus the last video from footage I have been storing.  I'm finally caught up to the present date!
Enjoy!

March

The start of a philosophical exploration of parkour?  Perhaps!  Reply to me and well see what happens!

Lots of Noise

Eric brought in some new music today which did a good job of pumping us up for training, but sounds kind of crazy when cut up for these purposes :P  Anyway, my friend Taylor gave me some very helpful pointers about top rock the other day and so I feel like my breakdancing looks an extremely tiny degree better.  I still have to practice what he showed me and then improve on that like a thousand times before I think I will look good.  But either way it's progress!  The guys were throwing down lots of flips today but my legs didn't feel like jumping so I left them to the acro and I stuck with the breaking.  I think I can definitely see some improvements on my windmills in this!  I am finally starting to feel like I sort of know what I'm doing in that move!   Plus Eric lands a crazy move that I forgot the name of! 540 twist?  California Roll?   Something!  He jumps and twists a lot and it looks cool!   Good job Eric!!

Manliness SPECIAL!

Hello World!  Oh my goodness, the second ever Flipping Out SPECIAL!!  This one is full of equal parts manliness and hilarity!  Plus a training session where we each express a bit of our creative side!
Enjoy!

HULK SMASH!

Ohhhh shoot son!  Second ever Flipping Out SPECIAL!!  What started out as a normal day of training soon turned into one of the funniest times I've ever had with the team!  There was blood, tears, and huge fluctuations in hormone levels.  That's all that has to be said, but just a warning to all the ladies out there: if your in a relationship maybe you shouldn't watch this, afterwards you may find yourself with an unyielding and insatiable attraction to a 2X member.

Creative Combos

Training started off a little slow today, our bodies and spirits were lagging behind our scheduled start time.  Except for Martyr, he somehow always has tons of energy at the beginning of training.  Well Dylan, Eric and I started out slow, but eventually we got into the swing of things by expressing ourselves a little bit.  Everyone was doing some cool, new combos as a way to get started.  Watching this I can see a lot of Dylan, Eric and Eli in the moves they do, I wonder what you guys can learn about us from watching how we move?

Parkour at Brickworks

Hello World!  One of my favourite video I have made so far!  Matches one of my favourite days of the year!  Awesome day parkouring at Brickworks and a rewarding bouldering day!
Enjoy!

Parkour at Brickworks

Wow I LOVE this heat wave!!  30 degress in Toronto in March!  That's unheard of!!  With weather like that I just had to go out and enjoy one of the few places of natural beauty in the city of Toronto.  Evergreen Brickworks was basically where I fell in love with parkour last year.  We had so many great days there expressing ourselves through movement, hanging out with friends and connecting with nature.  How could you not fall in love with that sport and that place?!  Well we got an early start at it this year and it was a great day!  Dylan and I started with some simple, fun pair stuff and then after Dylan left Yung and I were shooting a video to promote this sweet new iPhone app.  I love the sun!!!  Great day!!

Solo Bouldering

Went to the climbing gym by myself and had a pretty good session.  I find I can train solo quite effectively, I can be fairly dedicated/regimented if I want and pulled I that off fairly well here.  I had quite a few tries on two very challenging V4's at first.  They are a little beyond my level at this point but I'm hoping if I keep trying them I will get them eventually.  Then I made a lot of attempts at a problem that was probably somewhere between V3 and 4.  I only tried it so many times because I knew I could get it... and I did!  I love getting a run at the end of a long, hard day!

Carl's Magical Backyard

Hello Everyone!  This is the first video showing you what summer days in Carl's awesome backyard are like!  Plus as Dylan is simply trying to clean up the floor in RMA, Eli instigates a massive and brutal wrestling battle.  What a bully!
Enjoy!

Carl's Magical Backyard

This is your first introduction to the wonderful world that is Carl's backyard!  Many a summer day were spent here last year and thanks to this awesome heat wave we are getting an early crack at doing the same this year!  Carl built a jump/ramp and dug a sand pit for landings late last year and this was my first chance using it.  It is awesome!  It gets you tons of height and it's a lot more sturdy than it looks.  Hopefully we can build more things this year and make his backyard into a training paradise!  The other guys weren't feeling like going hard of the jump like I was but it was still a super fun/chill/relaxing day in the sun!

 Rowdy Tricking Session

What started off as a nice, relaxing day of training at RMA soon turned into a full out free-for-all wrestling battle!  I sped it up so you don't have to hear our screams of pain, instead now it merely sounds like laughter.  But dont let that fool you!  This was serious, I think Dylan tore some ligaments and maybe even lost a...... testicle!  After that we all decided to be friends again and after some more training (and bad dancing) we all landed a bad side b-twist!  Later I go rock climbing where I failed many times at a really tough V4 and found a cool 5.12- climb whose bottom was just like a fun boulder problem.

Awesome Parkour Bail

Hello Everyone!  Carl and Jonny get into a capoeria battle one day and then I take a huge bail when we are out parkouring!  Awesome week!
Enjoy!

They're Breakdance Fighting

We start with some more bad dancing by yours truly.  Then Carl and Jonny get into a cool looking capoeira tussle.  Later Dylan wants to rekindle hes skater boy youth and bring in his new deck to show off some tricks.  Finally after weeks of attempts I finish that V4 I had been working on!  That was probably the most attempts I've ever made at a problem.  I'm pumped that I finally finished it!!

Huge Parkour Bail

The heat wave continues in Toronto so Jonny, Dylan and I head out for an awesome day of parkouing!  We found two new locations today and had a great time exploring them through our noob-ish parkour moves!  Just before we wrap it up after a long day I decide to go for one final jump, and the biggest one yet.  This was clearly not the smartest idea as I take a SPECTACULAR bail!  I gave up almost immediately after taking off.  Why?  I don't know!  But no serious harm done, just a bit of a sore neck the next day :)

First Parkour Day

Hello World!  First day of parkour for the year!!  Its great to finally get outside!  Plus a fun, well rounded training session.
Enjoy!

Martyr Feeling Frisky

Eli must have eaten something weird for breakfast today because he was acting rather strange at the beginning of practice.  Wrestling people and doing a freaky dance with Carl, and there were some things so grotesque that I couldn't even show them in this video.  But then he made up for it by leading us through some sweet punching/kicking drills.  We finish up the day with some new, harder XSD conditioning.

First Parkour Day

James must have been holding in some anger towards us because he went on a jujitsu rampage when he came into the studio!  Fortunately Jonny and I escaped mostly unharmed and we fled for the safety of the outdoors.  There we realized that a freaky spring time heat wave had struck Toronto which allowed Jonny and I to do some parkouring extra early this year!  Boy it feels great to be exercising out in the sun with some fresh air!  It is hilarious to watch this as it is painfully clear this is our first day out parkouring.  You can see our fear and hesitation as we make some small and weak jumps.  But eventually we get comfortable and it ends up being a really fun day!  Later I try and fail many times on a V4 that I have been working on for a while.  Very frustrating!

Jonny the NINJA CAT

Hello Everyone!  Today you get THREE whole videos!!  The first ever month in review starts us off, then Jonny has a SPECTACULAR bail and finally some tough battles at the climbing gym!
Enjoy!

Month in Review: Jan & Feb

This is the first ever Month in Review for my blog.  As I started at the end of January it seemed logical to do this for both Jan & Feb.  I plan on doing one of these for every month as they come along, but that might change.  Who knows!?!

Jonny the NINJA CAT

Jonny and I were working on some random stunt gags when he pulls the most SPECTACULAR BAIL I have seen in a long time!!  SOMEHOW he manages to harness his inner feline in mid-air and save himself from the worst of the fall (unfortunately).  I didn't see it happen at the time as he was flying over me but when I saw it while editing I knew it deserved the quadruple repeat!  :P  Oh and there's some dancing and climbing  :)

Tough Battles

Carl, Jonny and I hit up the climbing gym for what would turn out to be some very tough battles on the bouldering wall.  It was hard, it was ugly, and not all of us made it but eventually Jonny gets a fun V2 and I finish an annoyingly crimpy V3 I'd been working on for a while.  It always feels great to finally finish a climb after so many tries!

Wire Fails!

Hello Everyone!  Another fun two days of training to show!  The first shows our boxing skills and the second has some funny attempts at a wire gag among other things!
Enjoy!

Balboa Day

Today Mr. Martyr shows us some fun boxing drills.  Just like with my kicks compared to Carl's in the last training video, it is funny to see my punches compared to Eli's.  He clearly has better, stronger punches.  Seems I've still got lots of training to do!  After that just a short tricking session with Jonny and then some XSD conditioning where Jonny and I decide to insult Carl the whole time he is going.  It was all for fun though, and a bit of pay back for him from earlier.

Wire Fails

Jonny, Carl, Dylan and I work on a wire gag that goes comically bad a number of times.  We get quite a few funny spills but eventually we locked it in.  After Carl and Dylan teach Jonny and I a sword combo they have been working on.  It was a little slow going at first but I think we get it pretty well by the end.

Fun Training Days

Hello All!  Yet another double video post as I am still trying to catch up to the present day! Just some fun, chill training days to show. Lots of kicks, lots of flips!
Enjoy!

Friday Night Session

Eric and I go for a late night session at RMA. Even though there were only two of us the energy was still pretty good and I landed a b-twist s/t cork s/t cork!! Which I've only ever landed once before!! I was pretty excited but I land off camera so you dont get to really see that :( Oh well I'll just have to land more fully on camera!

Tons of Kicks

Carl, Jonny, Dylan, Eric and I were in for a very well rounded training session. We started of with a sweet kicking warm-up led by Carl, then into some XSD condition and I finish up with a little trick session! I was surprised to see how bad my kicks look compared to Carl's.  I cant see mine as I'm doing them so this is the first time I could compare ours.  Man he has nice kicks!

The Return of Mr. Martyr

Hello All!  Elisha joins us back from his work trip to Cuba.  He had to convince us it was actually him when he walked in the door because he is SO MUCH DARKER than when he left!!  But he is back, and joins us for a video test day and a truly awesome tricking day!!
Enjoy!

Visit to Green Land

The team + Gak Attack takes a trip to another studio to shoot some tests for those upcoming projects we have been working on.  Hopefully this video gives you a bit of an idea of how we go about working on these projects of ours, and what the working atmosphere is like for us.  It was a fun and relaxed day, but still productive.

Try It Till You Get It

This was one of the most rewarding days of training I've ever had!  :D  I got some moves that I have never tried before, but it was not just luck. I earned those tricks after trying them SO MANY times.  There were even more attempts than what I put in this video, but dont worry you will see me fall PLENTY of times!  Carl, Jonny, Dylan, Eric and Eli also kill it so it made for an awesome day all round!

Working On Some New Projects

Hello All!  Gak Attack makes an appearance in today's installment.  He is in the studio to help with some up coming projects.  Also Carl and I head to the climbing gym for some tough problems.  Some we conquer, some we do not.
Enjoy!

Some New Projects

More bad dancing, followed by a cool-ish breaking inspired combo.  Then we have the appearance of Gak Attack!  He's in the studio to help us on some up coming projects.  James and Chris are also in to help choreograph some fights but Carl has a hard time appreciating Chris' style.  Maybe with a few more demonstrations he'll understand.

A Bit Stronger

At the climbing gym, feeling a little bit stronger now that I have the time to come back more regularly.  We both fail hard at a V4, Carl almost completes a tough run for him and after MANY tries I get a very troublesome V3.  Then some goofing around made for a pretty good day!

First Flipping Out SPECIAL!!!

Hello All!  This is the release of the first ever Flipping Out SPECIAL!!  Plus a training session where I got a new, hard combo for me that I think looks pretty coooool!
Enjoy!

SUNSHINE TRIP!!

The first ever Flipping Out SPECIAL!!  These are videos of outings/event/trips that I feel deserve a little more attention.  So I attempt to flex my video editing muscles and make a video that is "cooler" than my normal ones!  This first SPECIAL is from a trip Carl, Dylan and I took to the Rocky Mountains.  The unusual show that the guys were working on flew them out to Calgary, Alberta so I decided to join  them afterwards to "shred some GNAR" as Dylan liked to say.  We had an awesome three days snowboarding and we filmed this video on the last day.  Jonny also joined us one day on the mountain but decided to spend the day on different peak and Sunshine Mountain with his brothers.  It was an AWESOME trip and I hope that comes across in the video!!

Gangster New Combo!

The bad dancing continues unfortunately, however Carl inspired me to do a new combo which comes in at 56sec.  Now this is obviously low scale when it comes to the really good people out there but it was hard for me, and fun to do so I was excited!!  :)  Also, Carl and I fail at trying Rodeo Corks, Carl and Dylan work on a sword fight, and we initiate the 2X Side Tuck Distance World Championships!!  I win!  :P

PLUS here is a link to the show that brought Carl, Jonny, Dylan and Eric to Calgary.  Its not just of their set but you can catch glimpses of them here and there.  For a style that is VERY different from our usual I think they did well!

THE SECOND POST! :P

Hello World!  A double bill for you today!  The first climbing video I have ever posted and then a fun tricking day where things get a little out of control... you'll see what I mean.
Enjoy!

Getting Back Into Climbing

Well after being away quite a bit for work and stuff my climbing muscles got weak, as is evident in my falling all over the place.  But I did manage to get some runs, mostly on the second day.  I finished a V4 I had been working on, a V2, and two rather fun V3's in that order.

Awesome Group Session

Most of the gang was on hand today for a sweet tricking session!  Everyone was throwing down pretty hard which created an awesome energy in the studio!  Later Carl, Jonny, Dylan and Eric were rehearsing their unusual show when things somehow got a little... out of hand.  Afterwards Carl shows off his sound effect skills and I go climbing with Cassandra.  Awesome day!!  :)

FIRST POST!!

HELLO WORLD!!  This is my first ever blog post!!  Woohooo!!!  It will look like what I think most of my future posts will look like; a video followed by a short description.  I will also add cool links, facts, thoughts and ideas in my future posts.  I started filming at the end of January but only got this blog up and running now so I will post two or three videos a day until I catch up to the present, when I will post one video each time we train.
Enjoy!

Intro Video!

This blog will be about the training I do with my friends and teammates from Team 2X.  I mostly train tricking, parkour, martial arts, rock climbing and break dancing.  But the team and I also get up to a whole bunch of other adventures which will be featured in this blog with "SPECIAL" videos.  There will be a video coming up every time I train, which is quite often so check back regularly!

THE FIRST VIDEO!

First training session to go up on the web!!  Let the brutal dancing begin!!  :P  I am definitely not a break dancer, or any kind of dancer really, but I WANT TO BE!!  So, as much as it pains me to put some truly horrible dance moves up here (the first time of many) I am hoping I will eventually become kind of good at it, and you can see my progress along the way!  As well I had a pretty decent tricking session with Dylan, Eric and Jonny at RMA.

Solo Session...Mostly

More brutal dancing!!  The other guys from the team were working on a show we've been hired for.  As you will see it is DEFINITELY not our usual style, but I think they still pull it off.  With the other guys busy I had a pretty sweet tricking session by myself.  I got some new capoeira inspired combos and worked on my Jackknife and Windmills.  Plus Carl has a sweet little combo at the end!
